Dialogue beyond the sunset
A- Does love have an expiry date?
B- Love does not- but has the desire to continue to love or be loved by someone. How many times have you fallen in love?
A- Why is the question always formulated in this way and not the other way around?
B- What do you mean? I do not understand you.
A- Nobody ever asks. How many times has somebody fallen in love with you? We usually forget those who loved us. Mostly our memories run to meet in our thoughts those we have loved. Sometimes I think that if you can not endure being loved, you will never learn how to truly love someone.
B- Do you think is it more difficult to love or to be loved?
A- Do you see the sun that is falling on the sea and generously giving us another beautiful sunset? Another day has come to an end. Against the fact whether we wanted it or not. Maybe the sun sometimes does not want to set. But even he, unable to resist, always follows his natural destination. Love when it knocks on your door will not ask you if you want to be the transmitter or the receiver.
B- When you get involved in the hands of love, your heart is unguarded and surrenders to the mercy of your desires. It rises with incalculable speed and you try to balance in unprecedented conditions. Even the pain caused by the loss of a loved one acts as an antidote to sadness and affliction. It sounds like an oxymoron but it is a reality. Is it possible not to make mistakes when you are in love?
A- Plato wrote that “Eros is the son of Poros and Penia”, so firstly, he is always poor, he sleeps under the open sky, on stairs and, at the edges of the road. Influenced by his father’s nature, he plots the beautiful and the fine, he is brave, adventurous, and constantly throughout his life, he loves wisdom. He is neither immortal nor mortal. Many times in the same day he lives, and sometimes he dies. So Eros is never neither poor in means nor rich. And between wisdom and nonsense, it is again in the middle. Mistakes are therefore inevitable. So is there purification after mistakes in love?
B- I would say yes because mistakes are made for people to do them. No one knows that he will make a mistake in the future. He should sincerely repent of what he did and learn from it, so as not to repeat it. We all have something dark in our soul that we do not know when we will encounter it. So we must be ready and have the wisdom, insight and, realistic way of thinking to control it and avoid an error. Because most people understand the mistake after doing it.
A- Love includes everything. Lucky those who truly loved and were loved. But the luckiest of all are those who managed to synchronize with their other half and live such a situation together.
B- It is not the easiest thing to love or be loved. But it is one of the most beautiful. Let’s go now, look the sun hid on the horizon and became one with the sea.
