The three suitcases
She was so angry that held her purse tightly in her right hand without saying a word. She wondered how it was possible for the apartment to be in such a miserable condition and to be so different from the photos that had been emailed to her. The three large black suitcases were still outside the door of the apartment and occupied with their volume almost half of the corridor on the third floor. Leaving the apartment with quick steps, she realized that has to take the suitcases down to the car using the stairs again. The building was so old that there was no elevator, another detail that was not mentioned in the announcement.
After putting a lot of effort, she finally managed to transport the suitcases and put them in the trunk of the car. The cat was looking at her with understanding through the special carrying bag. You would say that he was trying to support her in his way. She hugged him and pet his head. The little kitten was enjoying the moment with his eyes closed. “What’s the matter with you?” She thought and put him back in the carrying case. The time was 14:00 and a solution had to be found as soon as possible. The journey has started at 06:00 in the morning and fatigue had begun to accumulate in the body.
Having the notebook in her hands and flipping through the pages, she was trying to select one of the backup apartments. Why do people insincere and inconsistent in their dealings exist? Why such irresponsibility? Why do they disrespect the time of others? Why are they creating a problem for a fellow human being with such behaviors? ‘’Lots of whys, they were gathered and I will not find an explanation’’. Said in a low voice while was looking at the cat. He was observing her without any reaction. His current comportment is enviable, being calm and cooperative from the beginning of the trip.
This morning when she has departed from home she had an indescribable joy, the opportunity to live for a year in another country made her happy and revitalized the thoughts. She was looking forward to meet her colleagues and make new friends. Was a fact that she would have plenty of time to feel the sounds and colors of the city, to taste the traditional food, to get lost in the picturesque streets and medieval squares. The visits to the popular old bars for tasting the huge collections of famous local beer were at the top of her to-do list. Weekly excursions to nearby forests and lakes would be just as exciting. The short trips to nature, have always helped to clear the mind from unnecessary thoughts and release her body from negative energy.
Nobody is allowed to ruin her plan and mood. She was determined to spend a beautiful year, full of unique experiences. Dedicated to the challenges of the new job and the possibilities for a pleasant stay that will be offered by this beautiful city. She smiled at her cat and kept looking for another apartment. Optimism fulfills her soul about the final solution.
